The FPBS is interested in all things barbecue especially those that pertain to the Florida Panhandle and the Gulf Coast area. The following Events Shown on this page are sanctioned by the S anctioning Association and not the FPBS. All comments and questions must be forwarded to the Associations involved. |
| If you are visiting the Panhandle of Florida send me an email I will suggest hotels and good eating joints in the area. We have some very good restaurants in and around Destin and Northwest Florida. |

The Smokin’ on the Suwannee BBQ Festival is an annual event
held at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak,
Florida
There is $13,000 in prizes overall, with $2,000 going to the
Grand Champion. In addition to award winning BBQ, there will
be family-friendly events including a Family Fun Zone for the kids.

2011 details:
*Gates open at 9:00 am, close at 10:30 pm
*Professsional Contest, Sanctioned by FBBQA
*$13,000 in prizes. $2,000 to Grand Champion, with a chance to
qualify for the Jack Daniels World Championship
*This year’s event benefits the Justin Starling Memorial
Scholarship Fund
held at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak,
